Time, No Problem! Transform Your Upper Body in Just 10 Minutes a day with Simple Push-Ups.

We’ve all experienced it before, and every day of our lives. Your day is super busy and finding time to fit in a workout seems like a task. With work, daycare, second jobs, and family commitments piling up along with never ending to do lists. Who really has the time to go to the gym anyway? Here’s something interesting. What if I shared with you that you can actually tone up your body in just a quick 10-minute session each day, and a low-cost device that can help you do this?! It may sound too good to be true, but it's not! Let’s explore this together and keep it very simple.

The Conundrum of the Upper Body

Perhaps you’ve caught sight of those flabby flap arms. Are you looking to sculpt those arms and add muscle in your chest and shoulders and triceps area? However, the thought of dedicating yourself to a workout session might just prompt you to stash your sneakers at the back of the closet. If you find yourself agreeing with this scenario, you’re in company. Many individuals face challenges when it comes to incorporating exercise into their packed schedules. This often leads to feelings of disappointment and even depression, eventually throwing in the towel before or shortly after you begin. We have all been there many times before.

The Good News

Are you ready? Here’s the secret: push-ups! This old-time staple exercise is not only an effective one, it’s also a highly adaptable exercise that requires no gym and no equipment — you can do it in almost any accommodation, home, the office, or any setting. Ten minutes a day of push-up variations and you’re sure to light a fire on your upper body.

I actually found a very low-cost device, that helps me with my hand placement and helps me have proper and better form during pushups. I actually have two, one at home I use anywhere anytime in my house. The other one I have under my desk at work, and it folds in half. I use this early in the mornings, as I am at my desk very early in the morning. I will share this option with you further below in the article. It's great for Beginner's and Mid-level fitness enthusiasts.

The 10-Minute Push-Up Workout

Are you ready to try? Here is an easy-to-perform program that requires no more than 10 minutes a day:

  1. Regular Push-Ups (2 minutes): Start in a plank (starting position), drop until your chest hits the floor and then push back. Do as many reps as you can in 2 minutes time.
  2. Knee Push-Ups (2 minutes): Standard push-ups too difficult? Drop to your knees. Dealing with less weight, your chest and arms still get a good workout.
  3. Incline Push-Ups (2 minutes): Find a bench, table or chair, then place your hands on the ‘elevated’ surface and perform push-ups to engage your muscles in a different way.
  4. Diamond Push-Ups (2 minutes): Place your hands one triceps’ width apart, under your chest in a diamond shape with your thumbs and index fingers together. This targets your triceps and inner chest.
  5. Decline Push-Ups (2 minutes): To really feel the burn in your upper body, keep your feet elevated on a chair or step and do push-ups.

Handling Your Objections

‘But will it really make a difference?’ Indeed! You can see improvements in strength and stamina with just 10 minutes a day, plus you’re working more muscle groups at the same time — chest, shoulders, triceps, core — which makes push-ups a total-body workout in a small package. Area’s below are what pushups target.

And does it fit into your day? Yes — if you work out first thing in the morning, then midday or pre- or post-dinner, it’s easy to schedule anywhere.

Closing the Loop

So, are you ready to turn those 10 minutes into a powerful upper body workout? Remember, it’s all about consistency. The more you commit to those quick sessions, the stronger you’ll become. You don’t need a lot of time to achieve your fitness goals — just a bit of motivation and those trusty push-ups.

Give it a try today! You will feel great, and your body will thank you for it, and soon you’ll be feeling and looking more confident. Let’s make those 10 minutes a day count!

Here is the item I have, and a link to get it. It looks cheap, but I tell you, it works for proper form and placement of your hands. Your choice if you want to or not, but I found it for such a low cost, and swear by it, for proper hand placement to target different parts of your chest, and even triceps. Its more than affordable with this link, good luck in your workouts!

Try this to elevate your pushup game to the next level! It is working for me!

The Ultimate Pickleball Equipment Checklist for Beginners on a budget: Gear Up for Victory!

So, you’re thinking about diving into the fun world of pickleball?  If you're thinking about it, and it’s your first time stepping onto a court or you’re looking to up your game a bit, having comfortable gear is pretty important, without breaking the bank. Seriously, you don’t want to skip this part!

My wife and I wanted to see what this craze was all about, and have just started playing ourselves, but BUY ourselves, for now, until we feel comfortable that we are better. It is not necessary to spend an arm and a leg in these rough economic times, when you are just starting out. No need to have top of the line everything, when you are just learning the game.

Let’s break down some basic equipment that'll have you ready to go and start playing somewhere, anywhere.

1. Paddles: Very key to even thinking of playing.

Choosing the right one, but you don't need the best or most expensive. Yeah, it can really shift how you play. If you're just starting out, grab a midweight paddle—think around 205g to 240g, somewhere around there. It's a decent blend of power and control. Try to find paddles made from fiberglass or graphite; they’re both sturdy, responsive, and feel good in your hand. Don't forget to look for paddles that look like they have comfy grips!  Nice bright colors are always fashionable also. You want to feel confident when you’re in the middle of those comeback rallies, right?

2. Balls: Consistency is Key depending on if you're playing indoor or outdoor

Let’s chat about balls. There are basically two kinds that you will come across:

- Indoor Balls: These are lighter and have fewer holes. They’re great for a more controlled type of play. (We have not played indoor on any type of court as of yet).

- Outdoor Balls: Heavier and with more holes. More durable for the outdoors, won't fly away in any wind like the indoor ones may do.

Choosing the right ball? Just depends on where you are playing, and even maybe what level you are or will be at some day in the future.

3. Pickleball Backpacks: Get yourself organized!

You definitely need a good backpack, there is no doubt.  A roomy one, with pockets is a lifesaver for keeping all your gear in order. If I were you, I would look for something that’s easy to carry and has spots for your paddles, balls, water bottles, wallets/purse, car keys ; and all those little things you can’t leave behind. Things are easier when you are more organized with less distractions—because that’s what it’s all about, right?

4. Sneakers: Comfy, comfy!

Alright, let’s not forget the shoes! Shoes? Yeah, I guess it depends on what level you want and how serious you take it.  The right footwear is key for staying stable and comfy on the court. Go for sneakers that offer grip, support, and cushioning. Brands like Wilson and Fila? They’ve got some pickleball-specific shoes that can really help your performance and keep your feet feeling good.

5. Pickleball Net on Wheels: Convenience for Practice, at Your OWN Pace !

How about a portable net with wheels you say? For the mornings you don't want to be on a court early, trying to learn the game, and experienced car loads of PickleBALLERS pull up, and begin to ask you multiple times if you want to play. NO, I'll pass on that. This very net below, we have and play on our driveway or out in front of our house in the street. This is a game-changer for setting up practice anywhere. Some neighbors play with us occasionally also, and it's a fun way to try to learn the game without all the Group or Club pressure out on the big courts near us. One day maybe, but not for now.

6. Pickleball Attire: Comfort Meets Performance

Wearing breathable, moisture-wicking fabric can really elevate your comfort and performance. Choose gear that lets you move freely and keeps you cool when the game heats up.

Overcoming Common Objections

I can hear what you might be thinking: “Isn’t all this stuff a bit pricey and too much money?” It really isn't, and I included some links to where we got our equipment from. There is a range of rackets, balls, nets, sneakers, etc., all in vibrant colors. Through this wholesaler I purchased from, there are also discounts constantly, so it's worth every penny, and I have had Zero issues with any of the equipment so far.

Conclusion

So, at the beginner stages, getting the right equipment is your first step towards starting off in pickleball. By choosing decent paddles, balls, shoes, and other accessories, you’ll be all set to enjoy and learn the game and improve your skills. We started doing it just for exercise and good health. Remember, the most expensive gear is not necessarily better, and no way is it worth it if you are just starting off or just play in some small clubs on the weekend. Happy playing!
